i became the therapist I needed growing up

When I moved from Mexico to Texas at 12, everything changed. I didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere—ni de aquí, ni de allá. I made myself small to survive. Quiet. Perfect. Exhausted.

Therapy helped me unlearn that. It gave me tools to understand myself—and unlearn the pressure to perform.

Now I help others do the same.

I’m Zarina—a licensed, trauma-informed, bilingual therapist who holds space for your story, your body, and the comunidad that raised you.
